How to add refrigerant to a home air conditioner system. In this video I show how to add refrigerant to a unit that is low on charge. This one also happened to be frozen over so before I could add any refrigerant I had to thaw out the system first.

Jay, I worked as a security Guard at a dead end job for years. I watched your videos on my night shifts so I can learn as much as I could. I felt so confident in what you taught me, I quit my job and went to hvac school in the year 2020. I did so well. P.s. they actually used a lot of your videos for training, especially how to use a multimeter. I have since graduated hvac school, received my epa universal certification, and I am currently working a union hvac job as a service tech. I really hope you get to read this, and I hope you know how much you have changed my life. Please never stop doing what you are doing!! You are and will forever be a role model for me! Thank you Jay, you are the man! P.s. if you ever open your own hvac business I would be happy to work for you!!

Thankfully, I have an honest tech that didn’t tell me I needed a new system but suggested filling it and see how long it lasts. I’ve had to add refrigerant every two years. It’s been 10. Filled it today.

I watched this video to educate my self... a tech came over and said he does not carry R22 in his van, it is special order, and for the most part he said he would recommend a system flush and replace it with R410 .. a 3 thousand dollar minimum... I got a second opinion, and it was so different, the guy cleaned my coils and topped off a little bit of R22, and Voila, cool as a cucumber... great video, thanks

Thumbs up for being a good friend and not asking for anything in return!! Being a good friend is when you help one another expecting nothing in return 👍👍👍 Good man you are 💖💖💖
Also my last A.C. guy out refrigerant in our unit but forgot to put the caps back on and the very next day it was hot as Heck again. We paid $300 for that. Luckily the company sent us a seasoned technician and he was the one that told us what happened, so he fixed it and didn't charge us! 💖 He was so nice he came back in the house and gave my dogs treats and if you win their approval you get the whole house's approval!! 🐾❤️😻

Jay, thanks to you I am able to charge my 1994 Trane unit that no one around here wants to service anymore. Everyone wants to quote me a whole new A/C system for my house. Your video makes it so easy to understand that I felt comfortable doing it myself. Now my unit is working like a charm!

As an apartment maintenance tech, your videos help a lot. This is all I need to do during on calls. Just give enough refrigerant to get through the weekend.

This video was an enormous help to me. It may not be the full scale analysis that a pro does but it sure got me out of a bind during this 2023 heatwave. Can’t thank you enough. Tom

I just purchased a home supplied by gas. I've never had gas before, nor have I ever had central air. I ran across your videos and started to watch so I would educate myself on gas and central A/C. I find your videos very informative and concise. And, my most favorite thing about your videos is that you don't ramble on and on like most other videos. You only say what is absolutely necessary and I like that a lot. Thank you for your help.

For someone like myself who is still in school this video helped me visually see what was explained in class... THANK YOU!

Your videos are giving me ALL the answers I'm looking for! If only I could find in my area an HVAC service provider with your knowledge and expertise. Our HVAC is a Pandora Box, and is not yet 4yrs old. But....I WILL DECIPHER WHAT'S WRONG, then will get an honest person to fix it. Keep the excellent videos.
