Its a really good phone but killed by bad marketing and aweful youtube reviews. Its a really good phone, they say its the second best but really in a mobile world, there's no second best who invented that word, it depends on you preference and what brand you trusted. I stand by it best display as far as sharpness and contrast and deep blacks that I've ever seen on an OLED display honestly better than my s22 ultra other than the brightness my ultra is a lot brighter but that display on the G8 was just phenomenal you couldn't quit looking at it 564 pixels is no joke

I've had LGs for the past (7?) years: V20, V40 and just now got the G8. LOVE these phones. Quality, best audio, great cameras, snappy smooth performance with zero issues ... overall value for price blows away most Samsungs I've checked out. Sad that LG is now out of the phone business 😢 "G8 is the best phone LG ever produced" 🤔 .... well I can't say yet because I just unboxed this today. My V40 battery died and its the only reason I have this G8. ... otherwise the V40 is the best phone I've every owned .... lemme get back to you on my verdict after living with this for a bit 😆 thx for review 🙏

Awesome when I seen this video I'm getting ready to buy it again I was telling people I think it had the best OLED display that I've ever seen maybe not as bright as the Samsung but as far as the contrast and everything looking like it's on top of the screen it was $564 pixels per inch on that display it's the best display I've ever seen to put that in comparison I have the s22 ultra right now which is an awesome display because of the brightness but it's barely 500 pixels per inch awesome phone G8

I have had this phone for almost 4 years. I have had many opportunities to upgrade but just cant let it go. This is the best phone durability wise i have never had ( i have had cell phones since 1998). I use my phone a lot and the battery is still holding. I cant believe i am gonna havento go back to samsung!🤢 (Since LG are no longer making phones)

I've had this phone since August 2019. Unlocked from Amazon for $527.37. The battery still gets me through a full day with heavy use. Battery life is everything to me. What good are bells & whistles if you're too worried about draining the battery to use 'em? The battery used to get me through a day and a half to two days. No complaints considering how long I've had it. Over the past couple of months, it's been a glitchy. That, along with the fact that it's 4g, had me looking to investing in a new phone. But I do love this phone and it's Jedi features (hand gestures). I'm going to try to squeak another year out of her and then upgrade.

I loved My G8! Just ordered the V60 which is bigger than I prefer but TMOBILE killed My Sprint G8 and they claim their network will not support a G8 even if I buy a TM version! TM forced Me into a Samsung S21fe and I HATE IT!! Worst phone I gave EVER owned! I'm almost ready to switch to another carrier. Hopefully the V60 will work properly with them and I will just have to get used to a bigger/heavier phone. 🙏🏼

I've only just seen this video, well done young man! Good to see, (even in the comments) that there are still fans out there.I can't 100% agree with your conclusions, (though I nearly do! ). I have a red, unlocked T Mobile variant, here in the U.K. unfortunately we were not worthy of having the phone released in our country so I got it from the U.S. via eBay. I thought it would be my perfect update for the V30. However as much as I love the G8 my daily phone is the LG V30, a little bit older and stuck on Android 9, but still runs rings around lots other phones on the market. I get better low-light photography from the LG V30 than I do from the LG G8 but the camera is just a side feature for me. The size, shape, weight along with the width of the screen and the perfectly placed fingerprint sensor and power button combined, for me, make the phone almost perfect. Don't know why they had to introduce a side power button for the G8. But the one thing that stops me using my G8 on a regular basis is the poor earpiece volume when making calls. (compared to my V30 ), have I got a duff unit? Other than that I love the G8 and it looks stunning. Tried lots of other phones and have been trying a Samsung galaxy S21, but after about 2 weeks just had to change back to the V30, where everything "just works". Just my view, I'm sure lots will disagree.

I mine I got it at launch as an upgrade to my G5 though the latest update included a very slow gallery app and overall worse battery life and performance. I wonder if its one of those poison updates to hasten an upgrade. I'm sad because there is no G10 to upgrade to and I refuse to go with the other Korean company because of a sour experience with the S5.

This phone has a much better and more balanced Dac than a lot of portable players around the 180-240$ price, i just wonder if we purchase this phone from a refurbished chinese store if they remove the dac and replace it with a cheaper standard one

I've had LGs since 2014 (?) the G2 or G3.
I loved my G8X until this week when the usb port failed. I replaced it with a V60. I don't know where I will go after this phone. :(

I have a G8 but I have to admit that it does seem sluggish especially when opening/closing multiple apps. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent and basic phone with plenty of good features for an average price of $200 USD.
