JBPS Special Issue Introduction: Multi-domain simulation workflows for ‘Sustainable Cities & Communi

Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG11) deals with ‘Sustainable cities and communities' as part of a total of 17 SDGs established by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly. SDG 11 aims to achieve 10 targets that are measured with 15 indicators. This IBPSA Education Webinar Series invited submissions of original research to the Journal of Building Performance Simulation (JBPS) special issue (SI) in Multi-domain simulation workflows for ‘Sustainable Cities & Communities (UN SDG 11). The guest co-editors of the SI discussed the IBPSA and JBPS roles in extending knowledge beyond buildings, providing the context of UN SDG11 as the blueprint to achieve a sustainable future for all and introducing the SI focus and topics, the webinar was concluded with a round table and Q&A session with the JBPS editors Ian Beausoleil-Morrison, Jan Hensen, and three guest editors of SI (1)
