Is it possible to slice or separate the original text from the offset so that they could be cut as two different pieces?

I am cutting from wood, and would like the offset to be the background to stabilize my text for my project, therefore need the path to be moved to the outside of my offset (I believe, but I am a beginner!)

How would I go about color filling the offset a different color as the font. I got stuck there for example, I want the font offset to be black and the font white. Thanks.

Hi, can I move this stroke so that it's off center but still offset? For example, having the stroke be a bit down-diagonal relative to the text.
