Wow, this is excellent AND thorough on the Yongnuo 11mm. But even more importantly, I just saw your channel contents, and you're about to teach me how to use my new a6700 (Open Box discounted, arrived last week). I saw your thumbnails for Beginner Guide, a6700 Review, Tracking, AF, MF, Sports/Action so that's 6 hours of training right there. Plus, next time you're in Texas, plan an extra day as I'd be very happy to hire you for in-person consulting (fancy words for get this hobbyist's mistakes corrected). No kidding, I mean it. I'm not a total newbie, I use DJI Action cameras and just sold an a7IV, but I'm just stuck in mediocrity. 😁

Question, please: For the in-lab testing with the AF and the quarter, you keep zooming in and out, but the Yongnuo 11mm is not a zoom lens. How are you achieving that effect? And when you are changing the focus from the quarter to the living room in the distance, all you are doing is changing the aperture from 1.8 to 16 and back, correct, you did not switch to MF, correct? Thank you.

Would you recommend this for real estate photography/videography? I have exactly the same setup as you, a6700 with DJI rs3 mini. But have Sigma 18-50 lenns, is the sigma adequate or do I need this ultra wide lens

Hi, Jason, the Yongnuo 11mm on my a6700 does not allow me to change the aperture through the Sony a6700 touch screen/menu system. Is the lens only a manual aperture adjustment? It does show the change on the a6700 when I manually turn the ring on the lens. Currently, I'm trying to make it work with the a6700 in photo mode, Manual, ISO Auto, 1/50. On the screen there is a little white box around each of those settings but not one around the aperture. As I spin the manual ring, the Aperture value on the a6700 screen turns orange and changes, and when I stop turning the ring, the value on the screen turns white at whatever value I stopped it at. So, as a test, I replaced the lens with the kit 16-55 OSS f/3.5-5.6 and suddenly a white box does appear around the Aperture setting and I can easily touch-screen that rectangle and choose among other aperture values. I'm thinking I may not have problem-settings in the a6700 menu, that is always a concern, and either the lens doesn't work as I expected or is defective. Do you have a suggestion? I'm wondering now if I should have bought the Sony 11mm for the additional $260.00. BTW, the Yongnuo box does say it is for the Sony. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.

i recently brought sony 11mm lens and i hate distortion of that lens ..but i see less distortion on this one ...

Oof I really don't like the bokeh of this lens.. those fairy lights in the background when blurred get all cataracty rather than being smooth
