The dream team making vids together, love it! Was quite surprised that there wasn't more difference between 16 & 17mm as I'm sure it should be more than that - perhaps the active steady shot is cropping them differently? I used to love my 17-28 until I tried the Canon 15-35 - it's wobble city but the field of view is so nice.

The new dynamic stabe in newer bodies really makes every mm a lot more important!

What a blast! Always fun getting together if we can just avoid the Ben stiller movie issues! Always something, dang! Vegas better be clear!

Killer video my man! The Sigma looks much sharper and more contrast in the B-Roll you shot.

Wider, brighter and better focus. Seems like a sigma win. Great to pair with xc-e1 💪

Nice comparison! The Tamron delivered great value until the sigma came around, definitely seems better in general.

the tamron 17 28 is famous [and most 3rd party glass] for not working well with active steadyshot. would you be able to confirm if the sigma functions the same or better with active steadyshot? it looked similar during your walking test, but was only a very short moment.

sigma looks truly better than tamron in all lenses I dont't know if it is glass quality but the image is better

the sigma at times of low light, how noise and autofocus behave. I do wedding video at night and I have that fear.

I'm between the tamron or the sigma
