PASCAL GTX 1080 VOLTAGE LIMIT - PART 1

preview_player
Показать описание
I overclock my EVGA GTX 1080 Classified at 2300 MHZ @ 1.2 volts

(Above nvidia BIOS limit of 1.093v).

When I lower the voltage towards Nvidia's maximum limit, software crashes.

Our PASCAL cards can't reach their full potential!

-Current overclocking & voltage controls are adequate for mainstream users, but Enthusiasts want more!
-I believe we should be able to tweak unlocked BIOS's on Nvidia GPU's, (same way we can buy an unlocked 'K' series CPU from intel & pair with an enthusiast motherboard)

To see difference in achieved core-clock speed between:
-GTX 1080 at Nvidia's max voltage of 1.1v
and
-GTX 1080 at 1.25v (hacked)
watch part 2!

I am fairly certain this is fake. First of all he is not releasing the program within the video. He is requesting people to contact him. There is nothing wrong with him saying the program within the video. He also won't show it. Also notice how it doesn't show his actual core clocks within oc scanner. That's probably why he used it.

WATCH part 2 guys:
It shows the MASSIVE difference In clock speed I was able to achieve with extra volts:
(I.E. difference between MAX achieveable clock at 1.093v normal max & MAX achievable clock at 1.25v ! :-)

-R.E. my concluding comment regarding unlocking the BIOS is NOT to say users should expect to destroy their cards and expect the manufacturer to pay for it.

-In fact QUITE THE OPPOSITE
In much the same way Intel charge more for an unlocked "K" series processor.  And offers "tuning plan" permitting warranty when overclocking. .

-I am also NOT suggesting cards be shipped with BIOS's unlocked by default.

-On download, this could either automatically trigger a 'voiding' of your warranty.
OR
-pay an upfront fee to maintain your warranty for unlocked BIOS

.-Different voltage levels by tier, as card detects different levels of exotic cooling.

-THE IDEAS ABOVE ARE IN NO WAY "ABSOLUTE" or "complete".
They are something to be DISCUSSED/EDITED  to find solution that gives overclockers the same freedom over our GPU's, that we already enjoy on unlocked CPU's.

-It is an ALTERNATIVE to taking a 'soldering iron' to your card.

-It is a way to notify your cards manufacturer that you no longer require your warranty. You overclock/over-volt at your own risk.

-The outcome is the same, except allows those less experienced with electronics to compete at the same level as those who do, due to working in the industry.

-Current cards would not be affected and would still retain the limited voltage control and all overclocking features they already enjoy.

I can see that your using Galax's XtremeTuner Pro to adjust the voltage. How much volts specifically can a Pascal Video Card handle?

Can you tell me how you were able to bypass nvidia's bios? I have been searching for a way to do it for a while. I have a gtx 1070 FTW by the way. Does the program you used to bypass the nvidia bios also work for the 1070? Thanks. :-)

Hey Man, ive never seen anyone push the core that high . Amazing.
My 1080ti hits the voltage limit when playing Forza horizon 3, do you think that is normal and is it a sign of a issue?
