Brian is so good at making me feel smart. Until I try and explain it to someone else😅

You know something I’ve always loved the idea of? That dark matter doesn’t exist in the way that we think it might. I know this is super sci-fi, and not really based on any evidence, but how cool would it be if “dark matter” is simply matter from a 4th spatial dimension. Like, we can’t see it because it’s not on our “plane, ” but it can interact with us and we can sort of measure its existence. I always thought that could be cool

Seems to me that another possibility—at least as likely as some undetectable particle—is the idea that our understanding of gravity and/or general relativity isn’t complete.

Brian Cox is the modern day Carl Sagan.

I love him saying 'we almost know'.

Could it be that we have hardly scratched the surface of the secrets the universe is keeping?

That's fair comment. That pretty much sums up the state of the science.

On the plus side, it suggests the answer will be pretty interesting when we do discover it.

I often think about how small a subatomic particle is compared to us, and then think about how our own solar system is way smaller than our universe, and then i think about how small that is compared to the entire to the galaxy, and that to the universe, and then i wonder how small that could potentially be compared to what's outside of that.

It will be a graviton I saw it on the science of superman - it’s how he flies apparently

Without a particle to blame it on...what ARE you going to blame it on?

When all you have is a hammer...every problem looks like a nail.
How do you know how MUCH you don't know, if you really don't know?

Everyone’s always “he’s so calming and sweet”
But this man’s face and voice live on my nightmares

Whoever figure out dark matter and energy will make einstein seem like an average physicist
