UK beekeeping v2-21 - Introduction to the Royal British Legion Apiary
Показать описание
Welcome to video 2-21 of my beekeeping blog - Introduction to the Royal British Legion Apiary.
For 2021, this is the new Royal British Legion Apiary located in the Royal British Legion Village in Aylesford.
This video is a brief walk through of the Apiary, where we will be keeping the hives and also creating a variety of habitats for wildlife, from planting for our important pollinators, making bumblebee nests, creating a wild flower meadow on land no longer used, we also have aquatic environments for fish, frogs and water plants, and trying to encourage all manner of widlife to the area.
In a joint venture with the Royal British Legion, Arms Apiaries are pleased to be part of a welfare and outreach project to include beekeeping and allotments, which is to involve local residents and ex service personnel.
We will have members of the project that have never done beekeeping before, learning the practical side whilst attending a beekeeping course.
As always please feel free to leave your comments, as I am new to bee keeping I am still learning, any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.
