Modern upgrades - Classic Mustang Part 2 - Edd China's Workshop Diaries Episode 66

Even more simple fixes for overheating (continuing on from Part 1) and this time upgrading the starter motor with a geared WOSP unit that will spin over the engine far more quickly while using less current. Also, I fix that pesky electrical issue with the standard Ford headlight switch that causes the headlight to flash slowly when you fit brighter light bulbs by adding a relay to do the heavy electrical lifting. We keep Adam's 1966 Mustang looking stock while improving its performance and reliability with some basic upgrades that anyone can do at home (particularly if you have a ramp)!! There was so much to cover it was too much for just one episode; Part1 covers the fitting of a new Mustang Maniac high flow radiator and the start of the Revotec electric fan kit and also a high performance alternator. This video finishes everything off! This California Gold Mustang is ready for the wild.

Edd China's Workshop Diaries Episode 66 - '66 Mustang upgrades; Revotec electric fan kit's electronic fan controller and wiring & WOSP high performance starter motor & flashing headlight fix.

Great to have you back Ed. As camera operator myself, your camera operator does an excellent job of not only showing us what your doing but keeping it nicely in sharp focus. Well done that person 👍👍

As ever, masterful production quality from your one man director/ videographer/ editor/ music picker. That 'Close To The Edit' segment was very inventive. Well done again, and hi from Prague, CZ

Thanks Edd, for these great videos. Always top notch camera work and editing. Also a very comprehensive DIY for upgrading the 66 Mustang. Here in California, we appreciate your interest and love for the classic American cars.

Edd proves that you don't have to use a power drill for every nut and bolt. Not afraid to get hands on with real wrenches.

Ed, what a way to start a Sunday. Or any day. Or night. Having lost the love for my MX5 Rocketeer build, you are inspiring me to get out there and make a mess. Thanks!

It's great to see all the new tech being used to make this classic car work better, but without making it a resto-mod. It's a beautiful car. Can't wait to see what you're going to do to it next.

Another fantastic tutorial Edd. Love the way you show the stuff that no one else does, like the PTFE tape on the brass fittings. Details matter and thanks for sharing them. The Hydraulic cable end crimper is a cool piece of kit by the way.
