My psychologist was in the film industry before deciding to become a psychologist at 35!

I’m 23 and haven’t even completed undergrad because I started off my career as a hairstylist but always held myself back from psychology out of fear! But I always go back to and wish to study it! This was really encouraging thank you!

This is exactly what is on my mind right now. 30 years old in a completely industry but I never felt a stronger calling now to pursue this. Thank you so much

This video was literally uploaded exclusively for me 😅
Thank you so much for this! I worked for 14 years as a foreign language teacher but have always wanted to study psych... never had the time to come around to it somehow. Now i have determined to pursue it and to help as many as I can as a psychologist.
Your videos always help me not get discouraged from this new path 😊

The oldest student in my psychology honours degree was 75! He was one of the best students in the cohort - always contributing in class and providing valuable commentary. It’s never too late to do the career you want to 🫶🏼

I got my bachelor's degree in music and spent my twenties pursuing that, all the while having the desire to go into mental health. I went back to school several years ago for my addiction counseling certification and am now in my final internship before I get my license. I hope to get my master's and become an LPCC in the future!

Loved this detailed insider, I'm currently studying this field in uni and would appreciate a video of benefits of being a young psychologist🧡

Thank you for going into such detail. Im 30 now, single, two kids, having to work full time/ school part time and barely making enough to get by. I have always wanted to go back for my masters but have no clue where to get letters of recommendation or experience to add to application. I have no clue where to start after having graduated with my BA in psych 5 years ago.

I started studying Sports Psychology very recently and I found this to be a big insecurity for me. And I’m only 29! So I can only sympathise with people even older and I hope that it doesn’t bother them too much. 🙏

I guess maybe I that might be one of the older ones here considering switching into this field. I am specifically looking into becoming an LAC with the eventual goal being an LPC. I am 51 and I have been strongly considering the field of psychology because of my strong interest in mental health. Although I think that this is a career that I could do well into my 70's, I do have my reservations about the low pay (especially for the first several years once finishing school). I think at the moment, that's my biggest concern about entering the mental health field is the pay. But I also realize that my age is a factor in many, many other career avenues. I do like that in the mental health field that ageism, at least from what I can tell, would not be as much of a factor.

Thanks for this. Im considering doing a higher diploma in psychology(where Im from, this is a 2 year post grad course that equates to a 4 year undergrad course). I've always been fascinated with human behavior, why people do what they do and in my own time I've devoured books on psychology one after the other. I've come to the conclusion though that psychology and spirituality are interlinked. Was spirituality a part of what you studied or was that not even mentioned?

It's not that i think im old in itself but i almost finished my bachelor of arts degree and im considering psychology as a 2nd bachelors but that would in my country mean that i wont finish the bachelors until im 27. It makes me feel like i will enter the work field too late cus i wont have any experience and cant build a life for myself until my end 20s

Hi, I saw your Youtube one year ago said you are quitting. Are you still working as a psychologist or doing something else? How is your holiday last year?
