This book no longer describes the version of Bitcoin that is traded under the ticker symbol BTC. The roadmap and vision for BTC Bitcoin changed in 2017. The network split, and now the Bitcoin that my book describes is called "Bitcoin Cash," traded under the ticker symbol BCH.

I am currently working on a second book to explain the difference between the Bitcoins and why Bitcoin Cash is the continuation of Bitcoin's original design.

yes bitcoin is a novel and useful tech, but it's mostly been "used" to speculate and hence has little appreciation by most people other than for the idea of making money. kinda sad.
