The Easiest Way to Hack a Navage Nasal Care System: Two Different Ways!

Use the above affiliate links to find a Navage and the needed ties on Amazon.

The Navage Nasal System is a fantastic product for sinus relief. However, its great downfall is the it forces you to use its proprietary pods instead of making your own saline solution.

If you want to use your own powder or sinus rinse packs in a navage, this is how you do it! You can either use an existing pod, or you can use a narrow zip tie. Then, you can use your own salt pot in your own navage sinus machine.

If you're asking yourself, "Can I use my own solution in Navage" or perhaps you want to know if you can use Navage without pods... then this video has the answer for you! :)

I just super glued both of the buttons in the down position and it has worked that way for years.

I hate when companies do that, I normally avoid those types of products with there overly priced proprietary crap, but this one slipped by. Soooo I got my device about 30 minutes ago, realized they were doing the (Keurig or GL refrigerator water filter) stick it to the customer thing and immediately went online to find a hack and here I am.

I will not pay for product that do this, and if they sneak one by me then I will never pay for their "refills, my fridge and Keurig are both hacked too, thanks for the video!

I respect people like you that show the world improvements to avoid costly recurring items, for that you have gained a thumbs up and subscriber! Thanks for the education, I have been looking to get one of these and watching this, maybe I will. Reminds me of those k-cups lol

The cutting off the plastic from the pod worked like a charm. Thank you. I had a 250 pack of premixed packs I can now use.

There are more methods. Some might be simpler.

1. Once you close the lid with the first pod. Never open the lid again. It works infinite times.
2. Open the top blue portion entirely, not the lid. Pour your NielMed cheaper powder on the base white plastic of the top half. Close the blue portion.
3. Pour the water right on the back lip of the lid. It's not water tight. You might lose a little bit water but it will fill up.
Voila! Works everytime.

Another method is to remove and fill the top blue thing and close the Nevage upside down. Fill slightly more than you need to compensate for leakage. This is just very slightly messier (like you might spill two spoons of water). Never open the lid after the first pod in this method too.

Third method is to drill a hole right up top and use that to fill instead of the lid. Entirely avoid their limiting factor of lid buttons after satisfying it once.

I knew that there had to be some way of tricking my Navage. The problem I was having was that some of the Navage brand Pods were defective and didn't work. Each time that would happen, it meant a loss of money. Now, I can get around that. Thank you so much! 👍🏽

I rolled & molded a piece of foil about 2 inch & placed over tiny button in the chamber. It Works!!!

what needs to be done is design a 3d print of the ring that satisfies the bottom button and then will arch up and when the top is closing it will provide resistance and trigger the top button.

Did mine with the zip tie yesterday then lower the top half way and push the upper button. Works great and thanks for sharing.

THANK YOU! Bravo 👏
Anyone considering this product that has tried others without success, THIS one will work. A good indication is how much this company knows they can charge for the pods..

FYI 2 years of use and the Navage has broken down. It works great when it works. The problem with the device is over time the sinus rinse solution gets past the pump and down into the motor. This causes the top bearing in the motor to corrode and stop the motor from spinning.

Thank you. As someone with late at night post nasal drip problems and a Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker (AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!) I love beating the system.

It works! And they are made of a very durable material. I was always worried about foil pieces of the pods getting into the saline.

Much thanks! I thought there had to be a way to fool the Navage so, rather than figure it out myself, I came to YouTube and found your video. I didn't cut the top of the plastic away but it still worked like a charm.

This is amazing because I live in Europe and my only option to order salt pods is to get them from the US, which is wildly inefficient (and costly). Chuffed!

I wonder if you could easily crack open the plastic case and just wire the button to bypass the “safety” switches for the pod
