And don't forget the Corvette recalls the locations of bumps around town, allowing it to raise the front end! Why didn't the Tesla "smart guys" incorporate this feature. GM engineers are giving Tesla engineers an education … something you'd expect from a large, well-established corporation.

GM needs to put the Cadillac warranty on the stingray.

Let's see, should I buy an experimental Tesla or a finished-product Corvette for my 2020 vehicle purchase? The exterior/interior of the Tesla looks bland in comparison to the stunning appearance of the Corvette which comes in many different colors. And it roars instead of whispers, a big plus for the ICE Corvette. And lots of buttons to operate by feel, allowing the eyes to stay on the road. I could use a truck, but can buy a cheap, used truck and have a fun vehicle like the Corvette which only has an automatic transmission … more my kind of car, any day! Vrooom, vroom. Oh boy, decisions, decisions <g>.

Doesn't this thing still have a push rod engine?

A worthy successor to the C7 and a solid foundation going forward. Congratulations Team Corvette! 👍

The NSX dies here, based solely on price and cylinder count.

Imagine if in 2006 the new Ford GT was called the Mustang Cobra Fastback. This should have been a new car (Cheetah Daytona) celebrating GM racing history and the 'New' Corvette should have been an electric 63' split window. Am I alone here or is nostalgia getting the better of me?

Gary, I got goosebumps watching the reveal (from the intro of Apollo 11 to the Stingray intro itself); the feeling was electric. What say you?

The model 3 performance matches this heap on performance and price. Car companies need to do better, because an electric near luxury sedan shouldn't be matching your sports car. The model 3 works as a daily and a sports car with no sacrifices.

It’s not a Corvette, it’s a GM Ferrari wannabe.

The HVAC control strip ruins it for me. Hard pass.

ICE car in 2020 hmm, talking about bad investment.

The C8 feels more like a rush job. Not as well thought out and not much is known about the car yet to say anything worth while.

I do find it amusing that BEV Fanatics are trying to lambaste the C8 because "its not Electric". Just enjoy them while you can. They will keep on coming for the next 20+ years easy. BEVs will not come down in price very quickly, so dreaming that you will be able to buy a $30K BEV that can do 200+mph, get 1000+ miles range, and charge to about 80% in under 10 minutes, AND drive itself like Knight Rider's KITT, and all this will happen in the next 5 years (from 2019)... is really quite stupid.

Stop being a hater. You are going to miss out on fun waiting for something better... and miss out on that being hung up on what comes next. Oh, and get back to work so you afford this stuff.

Lets build a Ford GT competitor 13yrs later as they (Ford) are phasing theirs out. Chevy loses again....

Lol looks like blasphemy to me and a copy of something. Glad it's still a fire breathing v8
