It’s hard to explain but the gist is:
The black hole is a 2 dimensional hologram projecting a 3 dimensional object (the black hole). A good analogy (maybe maybe not🤷‍♂️) is your screen. The screen and video is 2 dimensional but it’s projecting 3 dimensional images and videos.
