This is my go to. Usually using a fat 6 inch senko on a 4/0 or 5/0 tho

You can also use a hole puncher to make a plastic dimple to prevent the hook from tearing the worm

I would actually recommend switching to an extra wide gap worm hook as opposed to a regular worm hook. The soft plastic can slide down the hook further and you’ll get more hookups.
