I don't use one on top, but I started fishing my texas rigs with a bobber stopper between the weight and the hook. Its great for switching between a texas and carolina rig on the fly. You can also change the length of your carolina rig lead easily as well. Sometimes I'll have the carolina lead as short as 6". Other times out to 3 feet. That bobber stopper also takes stress off your knot.

That is a great idea Steve. I will give this a try this week. I have never used a bobber stop on a Texas rig, but after seeing the underwater footage, it looks really good in the water. I might experiment with creature bait to see if that works with this rig. I really enjoy your content.

My Mate showed me this at least 2 years ago, he developed it for perch fishing here in the UK and has loads of good fish on it. We call it the texolina rig

Nice! Love this idea on how modular the double bobber stopper version is. Just tried fishing a Texas rig w/ a bead for the first time this weekend. I will defiantly give this a try but like the idea still having the bead for a bit of noise. Bobber stop > worm weigh > bead > bobber stop > hook.

We always called that the "baby Carolina" or "Carolina lite" setup. I first heard about it from Mikey Balzz a few years ago and found that it was a really great way to get the best of both worlds! It's so easy to do and it really works amazingly well!
