tip1: OTT is great for this, though sometimes it's over the top (lmao)
tip2: there's a fork called paulxstretch that's a plugin too! (and it has dark mode)
tip3: use your sound as the impulse in a convolver, might help elongate!

Another technique that's good for one shots is to take a part from the middle and set a loop region/loop points. It differs on the DAW, but if you set it up right you can hold down one shot samples for a much longer time than their length.

Using delay with reverb could be another good technique for having sounds sound longer.

Similarly, using straight up granular synthesis could make sounds sould longer. Although this technique might not retain the same sound. But rather, turn soumds into pads, drones, textures, and the like.

By the way. Great video. This will definitely help a lot of people. It's one of the things i wish I new back when I was a beginner.

yo ive been messing with a technique i saw eliminate do with reverb wet automations, first i did the "sucking in" thingy ( add wet before hits/end of bars), and then i started messing with automating the wetness over the envelope of a sound and it gives some nice results

Ableton = Hold Shift while the sample is in warp mode, and drag the right side of the sample to stretch.

If you want even longer PP sound try using OTT at 100%.

If you use the minimum values for grain size and flux with the texture warp mode you can get some pretty cool sounds. If you pitch a sound all the way to 48 semitones you get this cool bitcrushed sound.
