Welcome to the first episode of the resurrection project!

In this video we'll be talking about a few things.
1. How do we debunk Christianity?
2. A justification for God
3. Answering the question "Are Miracles Possible?"

Many skeptics of the Christian faith appeal to the impossibility of miracles in order to argue against the resurrection of Jesus...but are they right?

1. We don’t know the universe began to exist. We have strong evidence that the Big Bang was an expansion of matter, not a creation of matter. Matter/energy likely always existed.

2. Kalam doesn’t eliminate a natural cause for the start of the universe. You kinda skipped right to a supernatural cause without justification.

3. If a supernatural being created the universe for us, why take 13 billion years before we evolved? And why did he create a vast universe in which we can only survive in an infinitesimal place? It would be far more sensible to say god created the universe for black holes. They can exist anywhere and there are more of them.

These are just some of the ways these types of arguments do not square with reality.

I just want to say I like this channel and think your work is great. I’m just adding that disclaimer because I don’t want to give the wrong impression lol. But with that said, the idea of “proving” miracles can exist is hard to work unless you can point to something truly quadrillion to one. Every example used in this video has a scientific explanation. They can all be explained as placebos, unlikely (though not insanely “quadrillion to “one unlikely) natural events, and the insane power of the human mind over the body that’s rarely ever tapped. The distinction between a “natural” and “supernatural” world doesn’t really work, because supernatural things by definition don’t exist lol. If they did they automatically become natural. Science doesn’t have a rule book of reality^TM to follow. Any science is just describing what we see by observing and testing reality. If any currently supernatural concept was ever found, no matter how rare, it would obviously be a part of reality. Which means it would just be a part of science.

Now, if something natural but with a quadrillion to one chance of happening occurred, you could argue “c’mon, what are the odds of that occurring w/o some sort of spiritual intervention”. That would actually be a piece of real evidence. It’s essentially the reason science thinks the multiverse exists. However, none of the examples of miracles here really fit that (now, some examples for the afterlife on the other hand… 👀)
