Why Videos go Viral.

My video went viral. Can you tell why it happened?

Ever wonder how to make a viral video? What are the features of a viral video?

The fate of a video is determined by many variables. Unfortunately, no one seems to know what they are or how to incorporate them into their videos.

I have one specific video that has received nearly 600,000 views, and I have no idea what it is about this video that makes it so popular, or why it's become what's commonly known as a "viral video."

I value your opinion. Perhaps there's something obvious about it that I've missed, but I'm not sure what's causing the viral nature. Most of my videos don't get this type of viral result.

I appreciate your viewing it and leaving a comment as to why you think it went viral. Perhaps we can condense it down to one or two features that result in a viral video and incorporate those into new videos and create the same viral result.

Does the color and lighting look acceptable on this video? Any issues? How about the audio quality?

It's because your reaction was honest about the ribs and not letting them rest, unlike most people who try to follow all these fancy chefs on tv and youtube. And it was also a first timer video.

Well, here's my two cents. People love seeing other people do stuff for the "first time". With smoking being such a hot topic in the past year with legalized Marijuana use in some states, people would probably assume they are going to watch someone "smoking" for the first time in the video that has 600k views. But, like you said..there are so many variables it's hard to pin point what it is. I honestly don't think those who watched the video thought they were going to see a video about you smoking meat for the first time. I think there was something else on their minds when they seen the title. So, it really makes a huge difference in how you title videos, hence why people have Clickbait titles and thumbnails.

I wonder how many more views you would have received if we had aroma enhanced videos. The smell of those ribs would have attracted my attention for sure!
