I still have this from my late brother. 😊

He always wanted to be Master Chief, so he signed up for the Navy. Turned out he was an incredible linguist and intelligence expert. He went missing in 2011. My heart likes to imagine he's doing the impossible, though the reality is likely much more mundane.

Edit: I've been reading all the comments, and I want everyone to know that I'm deeply grateful for your sympathies and kind words. I'm in one of the darkest and most turbulent mental states of my life, and I forgot how much this wound still hurts me until I had so many people honor his memory. Couple weeks ago i was cleaning out some stuff and broke down the box, i was sad and i threw it in the recycling bin and it revealed the poster side, i was so happy I immediately put it on the wall. Halo 3 was my childhood dude

I've tried to put that on my head multiple times even tho i KNEW it wouldn't fit. It was a literal impossibility and i knew it, but i still tried and hurt myself everytime.

Buddy of mine pre-ordered this with the entirety of his first check, that was a partial, from a job he had just gotten at the time. He still has it and still works at that job. Its very neat for sure.

I used to work at a car shop a year ago. When I would walk into our office space, this helmet was at the top of the shelf. Before I had quit the job I asked one of my coworkers who owned it if I could keep it and they said yes. To this day, this was the best score I’ve ever made 💯

This is literally a core memory for me as a kid i remember we preordered the game but didnt camp outside the gamestop. Our town wasnt big but god damn any boy/ man in that town was out there waiting in camping chairs. I remember walking in seeing everyone everywhere and my first sight of halo was seeing the halo helmet in person and i literally shit myself i was freaking out and the guy looked at me and lifted the helmet up and had a space to store loose cds like those old blank dvd holders.
