Based on the spec sheet, it looks like the idle consumption is supposed to be less than 25w and the efficiency is 94%.

Just a suggestion. When you make a video and your trying to show us what’s on the screen, can you angle the camera so we can actually see what your trying to show us? Thanks

Im excited to see all the new stuff. Would be cool to have the deye (eg4) 48v mini split as well as the acdc hybrid heat pump water heater!

I'm about to buy a Schneider 6.8kw inverter & pairing it with one of these would certainly me save some $. But so far, it sounds like it may not save me headaches, dealing with a few glitchy issues, others have reported. I might be better off, just to "bite the bullet" and spend the extra $ for Schneiders mppt charge controller.

How is the noise level and what point (power) does it start to produce noise ?

This has been MY experience.
Absolutely love this charger however it did not work consistently on the USER mode. That is, if you connect it without communication cable. It changes fine but would consistently go into fault mode. There's no corresponding situation in the manual. The fault light would just come on and at that point the numbers would freeze on the display screen and the fan would continue to work just as hard as when it stopped. We would have to power everything down battery and inverter to reset the charger.
You may ask why didn't we just flip the breaker off and reset it...2 things.
1. Flipping the breaker for the battery created a fault in the batteries that makes them shut down. Happened twice.
2.Turning off the solar will not immediately shut the charger off.
We tried various settings as per the manual and per the battery specs eventually same results. System works perfectly then stops with a fault light.
We eventually found a way to connect communication cables to both inverter and charger to the batteries then put it on eg4 factory settings and that's what solved the issue. I'm waiting to see how many other people will have this experience.
Now with this connection it's working perfectly. Great charger.

How much noise does it make at low light levels? Will it output 48-56V without battery?

Do have Arc and Ground fault protection?

Give them a few years...SS doesn't really put much behind quality or customer service per the diy forums where tons of people all say the same thing.
