I just read something that said NOT to drain the tuna, the water contains all the good fats and minerals from the fish, plus when you mix it back in the tuna isn't so dry

It’s also super affordable even if you get the higher quality cans. Easy 3-5 dollar lunch

22, 000% love all sorts of customized Tuna Salads. My favorite being a Korean version using their stewed spiced tuna, gochujong sauce mixed with the mayo, and mincing tons of various pickled Korean vegetables. As well as the typical celery, red onion, walnut, grated carrot, minced bell pepper.

You can also replace the mayo for greek yogurt to make it higher protein for fewer calories. I do that whenever i make chicken salad

Tuna salad is definitely underrated. I’m like you, every time I add different ingredients like crumbled up hard-boil eggs for extra protein, Serrano peppers for a kick, different types of seasonings, lemon zest etc… but I tell you what, I would buy a high quality tuna (preferably 3rd party tested) and then you don’t have to drain the water from it. You keep it in and it ups the omegas and protein and also retains its moisture). Also a pro-tip: if you don’t want too much Mayo but don’t want to sacrifice the creaminess, I add half Mayo and other half with plain Greek yogurt or even a bit of sour cream. Oh and finally, cut your sandwich before you wrap it in foil. It’s safe to say you ingested some when you are your sandwich.

Canned fish and seafood is super underrated here in America. You can do so much with it and it’s so convenient

To increase the protein in my tuna salad, I scoop in some Greek yogurt. I don’t sub it for all the mayo, I still add mayo for the taste but it’s usually 3:1 yogurt to mayo

Underrated. Easy to make it super appealing to your own personal palate also very cheap for the nutritional quality it provides as well.

You could do a lot with tuna you could mix it with salmon and make salmon patties, salmon croquettes with it you could put it with potatoes and fry them up. You could have a plain with cucumbers and tomatoes, and onions, and just put some Italian dressing on it if you wanna go low-calorie, there’s a lot you could do with tuna you can have it by itself and just put some mayo on it and put it in a sandwichbut my favorite way is to make tuna fish salad which requires a boiled egg and mayo, onion, celery, green pepper, and a little bit of mustard, salt and pepper and that’s the way I like to make mine but anyway is good for me because I love tuna😊

I love tuna salad. Note: one can employ yoghurt as the binder…yoghurt, golden raisins, and lemon make a nice salad base…

I love it. I make mine with either pantry or frozen: diced onions, garlic, chopped frozen veggies, half mayo half low fat yoghurt, and whatever spices I have.

Stuff is amazing. Definitely under rated. I throw in capers and a bit of olive oil to really amp up the flavor 🤌🏼

I freakin tuna salad!! My favorite meal to make. Yes, you can snack, dip, tuna melt, sandwich. If you want to take it to a higher level, check out the French tuna pan bagnat sandwich on America's test kitchen. 😁😀😋🤤❤

You can use light mayo and cut it with a bit of Greek yoghurt or even blended cottage cheese in like a 3:2 or 2:1 ratio depending on your taste buds
