It's not just the Star Wars franchise that is suffering this fate. Just take a look at the LOTR Universe. Whenever an established franchise changes ownership/filming rights, it fails every time. The studios don't care about the stories. They just want to squeeze any potential profits of the pre-existing universe without doing much work them selves, and if they decide to do any kind of work, it's usually the kind of work filled the DEI and woke political messages. Which always turns out the same way, in one failure after the other, and studios attacking the pre-existing fanbase of said universe for not liking the changes they made to the story.

When you look back to how Star Wars was made and how its made now, you see a clear difference. Not that there is a glimpse of hope for the franchise. There is still some good once. Its as its said: If you don't have a good foundation it will crumble. When George Lucas made the first once, he had done a lot of the work and backstory before he started. If its true, i am not sure. But there is said that he even made a backstory for mostly all characters that we see in the background too. Now that is dedication for something to grow. He made sure that he got the right actors for the right parts. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, David Prowse, Peter Mayhew and many more was perfect for the roles. But they also have one thing that is really important when making a move and that is chemistry, and the general law of physics. If they don't, it speaks for it self. To say it more clear: Its a well known knowledge that fire cant burn in the vacuum of space. That was the time that i knew that The Acolyte would flop. Follow the rules. Don't make them up as you go along.
