If Tua still plays and get severly injured in a game, I dont want the game to stop and everyone feeling bad about him, its his decision.

While I’m not downplaying concussions - can we please stop pretending like Tua’s concussions are somehow exceptional? Multiple players even the last few years have suffered multiple concussions in a single season. Yet, not a peep about them retiring. The only reason all these people are even discussing this is because it happened to Tua in prime time and it was uncomfortable visually. Also, Tua is clickbait. He gets eyes. We will see what the doctors say.

This is the definition of “letting yourself go”

I don't know how much Tua has already earned. But apparently, he has $167M riding on him continuing and being forced to retire, rather than him making the decision. So while I would not make that decision and would have been long gone, I can understand that he wants to make sure he at least gets that injury retirement bag; if not playing long-term again. I personally would have retired early like Andrew Luck and many others. But that's just me.

Should Tua retire it would be the best for him and the Dolphins. His long term well being is at risk and the Dolphins need to accept the fact that Tua is simply not the quarterback that can win big games against quality teams, the complete collapse of this team the past two seasons should serve as a wake up call. Ross/Grier are incapable of building a super bowl contender.

Doctor Omalu said that each time Tua suffers subsequent concussions they will get worse and worse, until one day Tua will have severe brain injury (severe disability to walk, talk, think, memory, etc.) We have one brain, Tua should nurture it. Retire Tua, get that payout money and take care of your family. That payout is like winning the Lottery, so do it.

When Skylar is 4-0 heading into bye week, nobody will be wanting Tua back!!!! Miami Dolphins going for division title now under

Enough of this "I'll support him if he wants to come back", thats a leading statement.
why not, " I'll support him if he retired"? Or "I'll support his decision either way"?

Tua's likely done for the season I doubt the doctors clear him to be a vegetable....

The real issue is, how does a QB play with the fear of one more concussion and you're out? It MUST change the way he plays and would that be beneficial to the team. I dont think so imo

Those are bad reports. Tuas family mentioned retirement. No him.

It's not real life. It's football. It's a child's game that men get paid life changing, generational money to play. It's dangerous. It's rewarding. It's dangerous and rewarding in a way that makes it impossible to impart your "normal life" sensibilities upon.

I hope Tua makes the decision that is best for him. If he chooses to play and his employers (the dolphins, any other team, the NFL) say "no mas" I don't have a problem with that either. There is no precedent here. There is no right or wrong, which I believe is the source of the general discomfort we feel as fans and observers.

One last chance ??? What ???? Dude he’s done . That’s it

"I'll support if he plays" encourages him to play, stop it, let him decide, he's going to make millions either way, he doesn't need anyone's support, stop pressuring him to make a decision, support him either way, or shut up

I'm guessing Tua's too dumb to retire

When you are a high profile public figure people will always have an opinion. What's weird is how defensive and angry some fans and media are getting when someone dares to share their thoughts.

He'll be DEAD or Paralyzed the next time he gets hit!!! Is that what you guys want?? TUA's problem now is that he just cannot get hit, NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY! That hit was not dirty, was not even hard. Imagine when he really gets taken down.

Tua is the NFL's worst nightmare, a walking reminder of the concussion crisis. Poster boy for brain damage. That said, it's his decision and a lot of money on the line.
