I was used to the engine braking from my WR450F, and had to "adjust" my braking when I went to my YZ250X. The first several turns on the 250X I almost overshot the turns because I was so used to the engine braking slowing me down. I now actually use my rear brake pads, lol

Congrats on the new bike! A 4 stroke with a Rekluse is my favorite setup.. especially out where ur at.. faster tracks with only a few tighter technical sections.. also I think u will really like the torque of the 4 stroke n the sand

Think you'll like that 350 a LOT. I have the 2019 450XC-F and I love it. The four strokes are way more forgiving. According to what I've read map 1 is the less aggressive map and map 2 is the more aggressive map. I usually ride with the TC on. I'll have to try riding without it. I've ridden the 350 and it's an amazing bike. Pretty sure you'll love it in a race situation.

I have a 2020 KLX 300R, first bike I ever bought, new rider...and I'm already ready to upgrade lol. I mean, my bike is HEAVY, and I am pinning it.. Think the 350 XCF is the way to go..

For a true comparison, you would need to ride your 300 with a Rekluse :) but you have two bikes to try out at each of the races!
