This week, we go to Amsterdam...so we can come home again. We have €100 to buy bikes and ride them 90km to the ferry before it leaves without us. Will we even have enough to buy bikes? Will we make it in time?

Now, restore those bikes, slap on some BC coilovers, some track-day tyres & race around a circuit!

I love the fact this channel isn't automotive, two mates who took a risk and now spend their days making awesome content and lifelong memories. Im here for it.

Lads you walked for 24 hours, you then cycled 90km, you know what comes next. Enjoy your swim across the channel to complete the triathlon of bad decisions🏊

A little context on the bikes in the canals. The canals are where we grow our bikes. That's why there are more bikes than people. They are slowy replacing us.

Jeffery hoogland is a proper catch for this video!!
Also that Peugeot would’ve been a lot of people’s dream bike when it was new, that was a good find…. Apart from the years of neglect since then

18:17 Ethan - "Yep, I'm in the same boat"

As Ethan is indeed, in the same boat.

As a Dutchman, I approve this video. (Oh and the street value of those bikes is about 40€, but in shops around the center of Amsterdam you pay at least double, esp. non natives).

You boys and TDC are by far the best content creators out there right now

As a Dutch person. I am impressed with both of you. We use 2nd hand bikes to commute 20min not long rides like that. The mental strength is impressive 😮

The irony of having a single-geared bike on 'All the Gear' 🤣

This was just great!

Please don't throw that Peugeot away!

I suggest Ethan buys a british bicycle such as a Raleigh, Dawes from the 70's or so and collaborate with @BikeItUK to help you guys fixing it (and add gears in the case of Jack's 🤣) and then maybe do a round like London to Scotland or something. Add some racks if you need, some tents. I'd love to watch that!

How exactly did that conversation go down?
"Hey Mr. double Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist, would you like to review a couple of old €100 bikes on YouTube?"

"...Sure!"

I’ll be honest, when you announced you had left CT to do travel/camping content, I was disappointed but this is now my fav channel in the AA multiverse, your content slaps every time with genuine laughs and relatable videos, love it lads! Thanks so much ❤

That 70's Peugeot bike is actually pretty nice! Shame that it does not have it's original gears. Although a lot of people do convert it to a single gear.

I love seeing these dumb challenges! Stripping stuff back to basics in a world of over the top sponsored content is refreshing and so much more relatable and achievable.

With regards to the bikes, I've been riding mainly single speed bikes for years. The first half a dozen rides on one after being used to gears it sucks, then one day it clicks and suddenly it all makes sense. The best way I can describe it is that now you aim for a constant pressure on the pedals, and pace yourself the same way you would if you were walking up a long staircase. I like it for the flow state, and for the weird looks I get, and for the fact that I get free badass points, so even if I'm slow people still think I'm kinda hardcore. And yes sometimes it's too steep and I have to get off and walk, but by that point anyone still riding their bike is going slower than I can hike anyway!

The Netherlands is ideal single speed terrain, and I actually went to the European single speed mountain bike championships there once, where I was overtaken up a hill by a man in a cardboard Optimus Prime costume.

What a great channel this is turning into 👏 completely different direction to the other car throttle guys, and it works perfectly with both your personalities 😁 not one video has been less than 10/10 effort either.
