I had 2 koi ponds one that went from a waterfall down my driveway to the pond and one in the back yard off my patio. That I used to breed them. Made some nice money that way. But now I’m getting rid of the one in the back and putting in a outdoor kitchen. I watch country living and fixed my driveway with a dry pour. Now I’m going to extend my patio for my outdoor kitchen. I wanted to do a stamp but hadn’t seen it until your channel popped up. Thanks for the videos. ITS ON

I used to work doing this and to patch the corners and sides that crack or break you can use a pair of panty hose and sift the cement to get the fine dust so it sticks and dries without cracking . . You can touch up the messed up parts and make it perfect so no imperfections ruin the looks . Sometimes it cracks a tiny bit but that usually means you used to much water to mix the cement dust with . Sometimes though it needs 2 coats of cement to touch up perfectly

You convinced me. I will use mortar for the top for all my dry pours now. Looks way easier to get smooth!

If I'm doing a DIY project, I can tell you with confidence that I do not need to 'fake imperfections' - they just happen.

An idea that might work well for larger areas. Wrap the pattern around a cylinder and just roll it.
I also wonder if it might be easier to lay the pattern when it's slightly wet? Not sure but just a thought.

Really interesting - dry set technique. I always thought one would wet pour the concrete, then stamp it.

That’s awesome man! Been pondering something similar, nice to see it could be done. Also thought of a cobblestone pattern too.

Excellent idea. What would be easier is - make cylinder like role from the mat and than just roll it like roller from one end to another.

I never even thought about the possibility of dry stamping, this is great. What state etc. is this? the rolling hills and area are amazing looking.

Also make sure when you stamp the front of your step, you line the brick lines up correctly . I’ve had to fix others mistakes who screwed that up

How about a link where to purchase the stamp. I Googled concrete stamps but there is too much variety and don't want to buy the wrong one. I like the one you demonstrate here.

Thanks for sharing. For the stamping, if you mist lightly then stamp do you think this will will work to make lines more detailed and not crumble as much? Thank you
