i don't know why but i haven't seen any tarantulas/scorpions in my island for a long time

You can actually walk normally, while it's guard is down or do
consecutively small steps(holding A) without stopping once, while it's
guard is up. That will also prevent them from escaping.

I tried to do the slow approach a couple times, and even tried to have some holes dug up to stop it & try to catch it above the holes, but it ended up as a total failure & getting me completely knocked out by the sting with being too slow to catch it and/or swinging the net too early when I tried to catch it. And the recent tarantula that I had on my island a few minutes ago went around the hole I made that I tried to trap it & took me out immediately after it saw me and was trying to go right into the ocean to run away!

I just really can’t win and catch any scorpions & tarantulas in my game and end up getting stung in the end every single time!

I cleared an entire island and waited for about an hour for a scorpion to spawn. Its 1 pm and I feel like an absolute fool.
