Gen Z is often called the most innovative and tech-savvy generation, but they’re also facing unique financial struggles. From skyrocketing student loan debt to the rising cost of living, stagnant wages, and a volatile job market, it’s no wonder so many Gen Zers are finding it hard to build wealth.

I hear you. I am gen x with a millennial step daughter. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to work "for the man". Low wage, no insurance or terrible insurance, no pension, These days I usually say, if you want to do something that needs a degree, then go to college but if you want something that doesn't need a degree then seek out mentorships etc. No reason to go into serious debt.

The main issue is the cost of rent & housing. if we could get this under control then gen-z could start building wealth and confidence in their future to start a family.

My wife been working in the nursing field since the 90s and I been working as a Chicago Bus operator since 1999. I was 20 and she was 19 when we had our first daughter in 92 then my son came in 95 then our son came in 2000 and my daughter in 2003. We had to raised Millennials, Gen Zs and our Gen Alphas twins that we had last year so that makes it 6 kids. We learn from our children. My 4 grown children would quit a job and go to another one doing side gig working with Amazon Flex, Doordash and UberEats. Thank you Regina.

Why should they give 2 weeks notice. They don’t get 2 weeks when they’re getting fired or laid off ..they are stress out . Most are paying the parents bills .

I hear you.I worked with a twenty something girl and she had four different side hustles to make ends meet. Gen z May end up being smarter than my generation. Late boomer here.

I love that you’re so understanding. You’re right, it’s not the same for gen z. Not even my generation - millennial. We were told if we work hard and go to school we could afford the American dream but that wasn’t true for most of us so it is a lot of disillusion. Thank you for being a voice of reason and understanding! 💖🙏🏼💖

I feel bad for them because the human connection is gone. Stores are going out of business and people order things online. There are less social spaces for them. People just vegetate watching TV, Social Media, and video games to distract from their crappy lives and not go insane!

They're going to grow up in the era of AI which will replace the jobs they want so what's the point? Companies require experience that Gen Z doesn't have because no one will hire people without experience. Education is too expensive and a debt trap (in the U.S.). Gig economy pays peanuts. We may never own a house in our lifetime... we may never have enough money to raise a child.

Toxic 'news' corporations pit people against each other and fake stuff all the time. The healthcare system is majorly screwed up plus health insurance is too expensive. One major health problem and they're trapped in debt forever. Rights are being eroded as everyday passes because the elites with money pass the laws.

I'm a late Baby Boomer born in 1964 and I support you. My birthday is on Dec 25 and I would be 60. Our children are Gen Zs. My wife is a Gen X from 1968.

Hi Regina!
Another nice video.
Sounds like Gen Z started the same as the Baby Boomers.
Inflation was high and jobs hard to find. They have to use their great creativity and make the doors open don’t wait for the opportunity, create one.
And yes I bought a whole life policy at age 32 and still have it.
I wish gen z the best ❤

Great Video! I would like to echo all that you said especially the part about saving money and staying home longer. These Adult streets are not easy at all!

I am also learning Gen Z slang as well. When my daughter said your home is crisp meaning that it looks good.

Hey lovely Regina. I didn’t get notification on this upload, but I’m here now😊. You nailed my Gen Z son 💯 %. He’s 25 and very innovated. He quit his high earning job that he hated and wants to start his own business. His former college friends decided to all live together to split the rent. I love how they are not going to settle for jobs they’re not passionate about. Great advice you gave to Gen Z.
Have an amazing week ahead 💐💕

Thank you for your kind and sympathetic explanation for the work ethic of Gen Z. I am a younger millenial, who I suppose has a similar work ethic to other millenials, I've been with my current job for almost 6 years. I expected this video to serve as a summary of the immature/luxurious things Gen Z spends money on. Instead, you offered a sincere evaluation of how much more unaffordable life has become.
Thank you. ❤
