Out of all the lomi salmon recipe videos I’ve watched, none of them have ever cooked the salmon first. They were all made raw. But, I like this idea better and I’m going to try making my lomi salmon like this instead. Mahalo for the great tip 🤙🏼

Can you find places that serve lau lau and lomi salmon in the mainland? You can rarely find that at restaurants in Hawaii haha. Thanks for sharing.

If you cook the salmon it is no longer Lomi Lomi Salmon. You keep commenting that the salmon is raw. It is not. The salt cures the salmon.

The lime/lemon is supposed to ceviche it? Is cooking it a food safety due to you're location? Never had cooked salmon for lomi salmon.
