Does the mirror block the touch function of the tablet or does it work thru the mirror ?

This is fantastic and exactly how I’m going about building my smart mirror. I was planning to make a cutout in the black backing for the tablet so it would sit flush and hopefully prevent light leakage or strange effects with the mirror, but it looks like yours works great without that. Has it given you any issues?

What do you do if you need to restart the fire tablet? Do you have to take the mirror down and the back off or can you do that remotely?

I find this confusing. Why use the magno app? The fire tablet comes with hand free a phone to control alexa that is already part of fire tablet is confusing.
