Ive built my channel off shorts on my way to 6k subscribers. Now I have started long form content 2 minutes ish. I will start working on my thumbnails and making the long form better.😊

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share this one tip. If you want views on long form videos, do not use YouTube shorts to try and get yourself to 500 or even 1000 subscribers with the expectation that it helps with your long form videos. We found that it does not help at all with watch time on your longform videos and we have over 1300 subscribers now, but less views and watch time than when we had 250 subs.

People who Subscribed from shorts only watch shorts for the most part. At least that’s what we found or maybe that’s how it is for our niche. Good luck to everyone

On YouTube studio, it tells me I only need 50 subs to be able to get monetizes (as well as 3, 000 watch hours). I wonder if they changed the criteria.

7:10 Regarding viewer duration - What if you make your videos shorter? If most people have a short attention span, would it still apply if your videos are just a minute or two long? Would YouTube still count that as a full "watched" video? Does YT have different rules for short videos vs long videos? So many questions. 😳

yooo just wanted to say that i completely vouch for these videos and advice! i studied this channel for the past 3 months and launched my channel 2 weeks ago. currently sitting on 12k subs, monetised on the 4th day and and have over 800k total views!!
