As you said Shane, flexibility needs to be maintained. I doubt you' ll find many 5 year olds who are NOT flexible. Actually go ahead and find some and test their flexibility. Would make for an interesting video.

I have been working with your hip flexor stretches and i think the mysofascial work is really helping. Unfortunately, i still have to spend a lot of time at a desk but i have made an effort to cut down that time in order to improve. I also really gain a lot from your other youtube stretching videos. Keep encouraging all of us and have a blessed and successful 2018.

The picture on 0:37 total flexibility goals ;), I am extremely inflexible a lot better than before with a lot of work but I've been trying your stretches and locating the areas with "junky" tissue and I already feeling that I'm gaining some internal rotation- so thank you for the amazing videos! I have been going to the gym for over 2 years and always had hip/leg issues but never known the underlying problem. Currently I can't squat but just feel like there is a bit more movement in the hips now- going for an x-ray soon just to know for sure but I've been doing the banded stretches and tissue work since me and my trainer worked it out. Defintely noticed people in yoga or the gym that have had no experience managing a variety of things that I struggle to do (': ! great video and keep up the amazing content!

I was stiff as a child. Took up ballet as an adult and in a month I was 50% more flexible. I quit because the ballet teacher hit on me and made me uncomfortable.

Thanks for your awesome and informative videos! I have heard a doctor say that diets with a lot of protein can cause a person to naturally be stiffer do you think this is true

I was born a little bit more flexible than others, I’ve always been able to cartwheels, bridges, and basic things like that with no practice

Hey Shane, a quick question regarding cam type FAI (apologies I might have asked it under another video). You are definitely one of the most flexible ppl I've seen, and it's inspiring to see how much you've achieved in spite of cam FAI. But do you think the extent of femoral asphericity matters? I have a relatively high alpha angle - it probably puts a limit to how far I can go and how careful I should be doing the stretches of the FAI fix program? Thanks!

Is there a test for the CAM morphology thing you mentioned or general test to see your genetic potential in hip mobility? Not sure what my limitations are just know that i am stiffer than a lot ppl.

Me and my brother are both extremely flexible, we have two different bodies. I’m biologically female and he’s biologically male. I’m thin and he’s- large. Both of us can put our legs behind our shoulders
