I mean that is very basic that u don't spray on your face, also don't cover your face and eyes coz it will block ur vision also use 2nd hand to shield from the attacker, next always understand what type of spray are u carrying, fog, jet/cone, stream, if using fog and in a windy situation or closed space like a car it can hurt you instead as it would diffuse in the surrounding air. I can write a paragraph but better to watch videos and get the concept of it's working. It is a weapon but a non lethal one, so always have proper knowledge, testing and responsibility. Be safe.
