After watching so many videos this one is the best explanation for noobs like me. So I just dismantled my budget bike, weak ball bearing housing inside, crushed. Would these be upgradable to sealed bearings so I don't have to replaced again in 6 months!

Im pretty sure every single bike in the world has its own unique design. Ive been spending the last day and a half trying to find one that looks like mine or the name of the style and its impossible i hate bottom brackets so much

I know I need a 118mm Lenght sealed bearing cartridge bottom bracket, because I will install a Double crankset.
BUT..
why are they all 68mm, bc when I measure my shell on the frame, I have 74mm
Will I fit on my frame ?

I have an old trek navigator and the bottom bracket measures out to be 73x116mm cant seem to find any that size. Any suggestions.
