Hello fellow upholster! My father has been running his upholstery shop for the last 50 years and I've learned so much from him and hopefully will be taking the family ropes soon. I am so scared to be in my own but want nothing more to make his business bigger. I will be watching your videos for help when ever I need it! I have plans to do similar videos of my pieces too! Hope there's a audience 🙏

Amazing how much corner-cutting measures mass produced products are these days. I was always taught, "buy good, buy once". You made the product much better now Neil.

I love watching upholstery videos. Reminds me of when I used to do it. I want to do it again someday. Very satisfying trade.

Your videos keep popping up for me and I am finally really watching through them to learn (not just randomly for entertainment lol), and I am amazed at how well you teach. And your humor keeps everything so entertaining too. Anyway thank you so much for providing this content. I don't think many people know how long it can take to set up camera angles, transfer footage, edit etc... such a feat. I'd love to see a dedicated video on how to properly strip furniture (the old upholstery) off. Like maybe some tips and tricks as to not damage the furniture/or to see what is still salvageable. Anyway, love the content, new subscriber for sure.

You make it look so simple...but i know it's not. I have a 1950's wooden frame armchair similar to one you've restored. I believe it's Italian since i live in italy. I wish you could restore it! Nice channel.

@FaceliftInteriors thanks for the lesson. Turned out good. I understand putting material over the back of the straps...but why velvet and not hessian? That stuff is expensive!
Can you please tell me what is the make and model of the stapler, compressor and what ever that cool cutter for the foam is.
Also what is the metal strip you used for the back.

Just wondering what fabric is called that you have used for this project. I'm about to do a set of eight dining room chairs and I'm wondering what to use. Thank you

Have you ever taken off upholstery washed and replaced it back into a chair?
I’ve been wanting to chair the color but was wondering if I could take off the upholstery with ritz color dye and put it back on?

Hi Neal, I was just wondering what type of adhesive you use to fix the foam? I heard that some glues can degrade foam, want to make sure I buy the right one! Thanks, love your channel!

Hi Neil, can you give me some book names that go through building the wooden structure? There must be many books since every piece has the structure.
Thank you,
Steven
