No one is going to talk about that sick transition? 3:32

After a lifetime of driving ICE cars, I bought a Tesla Model 3 Long Range & I must say it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. I’ll never go back to a conventionally powered car!

I've had my Model 3 for 6 months now. Incredible car, I've been converted and can't see me looking back now.

2 features he got wrong:
1st - their is a button to open the frunk on the internal console
2nd - the app automatically opens and locks the car

3:32 was an incredible transition you've gained a new subscription for.

Out of all the YouTube car channels’ presenters, I personally think Rory is the best one and the car reviews are top notch!
Keep up with the great work mate! ! 🙌🏼

That glass roof is actually safer than an ordinary metal roof

"Why i can't have the perfomance car with the Long Range range ?" because if you add aero drag (spoiler) and bigger 20" open wheels with sticky UHPT (from closed aero 18" ) it's impossible to achieve the same range, it's like pretending a M4 GTS to have the same MPG of a 440i.
-No, the total boot space is (front+ rear ) is 542litres even the Which, that is very very scrupolous measured it at 499l, in normal use the model 3 has more rear boot space than the Jaguar i-Pace (that is rated at 650litres but measured 370) .
-There is no physical button outside to open the frunk for obvious safety reasons! and inside the car it takes just two quick presses of the screen, as quick as any other means to open the bonnet in an ICE or, if you are an *Apple Guy* and you want to use what you are familiar with, you can just ask siri to open the bonnet.
-It is annoying that you have to unlock your phone to open the car, but i bet it would be more annoying having the car stolen by a relay attack that, the model 3, is immune thanks to its system.
-And again while the tablet it's not the most immediate and manually certain things like the wipers, changing the climate or radio station can be more challenging on the move, on the other hand you can do all this stuff without looking or touching the screen by simply using the voice commands, that on tesla works brilliantly.
-Totally agree about the lack of steering wheel.

Flip the car ?? Model 3 have the lowest possibility of rollover, not to mention even if you flip it glass is much stronger thus absorb a lot more energy during impact.

Forgot to mention that it’s all voice controlled, air, seat warmers, fans everything or maybe you didn’t know

The frunk can be opened from main screen

Quick tip: If you’re going to review a Tesla, run your findings by somebody who actually owns one and you’ll save a lot of face.

Two wrong point in the list of 10 listed. Request the reviewer to know the feature a bit more properly before commenting on that.

1.Car has a auto lock and unlock feature. If you walk away it will lock itself and when you come back and open door it auto unlocks. No need to use the phone to lock or unlock, unless user wants a different behaviour. E.g. keep car unlocked even after phone has gone far away.

2. To open the front boot and rear boot there are buttons on screen . So pretty much how one opens a bonnet on ice car. No need to use mobile phone app for this as well. The button appears when car is in park.

Other points are valid. There are some workarounds for some of those. E.g. you can pre heat the car and thus have steering wheel heated. Or you can direct the air flow to steering and that heats it up.

Nice review, Rory. This is pretty much my car - M3P, RHD, blue with white seats. I got it last December and it has been amazing. A few points:
1. The colour balance on the camera seems to be a bit off. The blue looks much better in person (the short grab with the iPhone in the middle of the video was more true to life).
2. Many functions can be accessed with voice commands, so there is really no need to scroll through lots of submenus.
3. The glass in the roof is extremely tough. When they were testing the roof with a machine that applies tonnes of pressure, the machine broke before the roof did. With its low centre of gravity, thanks to those in floor batteries, there is a very low chance of roll over.
4. Once you pair your phone to the car and leave bluetooth on, you can just walk up to the car with the phone in your pocket and it will unlock for you. When you walk away, it locks itself. I have never had a problem with this.
5. The boot opening is fine. I have been on long drives with plenty of luggage and it is easy to pack and unpack. Opening and closing the boot manually is also fine.
6. I have never had or wanted a heated steering wheel, but maybe that's just me.
7. I think the seats are incredibly comfortable.
8. Some of the things you didn't; specifically mention: regular over the air updates, charging up to 250 kW, dash cam, Sentry mode, awesome sound system, very responsive touch screen, clear maps with traffic and excellent navigation.

The glass roof can actually support more than twice the weight of the car. There are videos on Youtube that show accidents with overturned Model 3s and the roof did always hold. If there would have been one cave in you can be sure that it would have been reported in all major media. I 'd really like to know what engineering magic they cast there...
You can open the frunk from the screen inside the car, but you have to be in P for that.
The car not opening when the phone is in your back pocket has to do with the electromagntic frequency of Bluetooth being partially blocked by water. Humans are basically bags filled with 75% of water. So depending on how you stand in relation to the antenna in the car (which to my knowledge is somewhere in or near the driver side mirror) your body might block the Bluetooth signal enough so that it won't open. I remedied that by either taking my phone out while walking towards the car, because I want to connect it to the charging port in the car anyways, or I put it in a front pocket if possible (mostly if I only have a very short drive...). Yes it's a bit annoying but I got so accustomed to the remedies that I rarely think about it...
I have mine 15 months now and it is by far the best and most fun car I've owned and surprisingly cheap in ownership cost.

I think Rory has 100% found his game, really enjoying these videos, and you’re not splitting 10 good and 10 bad things into separate videos like some other car channels...Wow 😁

The glass in the car is 3x stronger than a metal roof.

As an owner my biggest pet peeve is the lack of blind spot monitoring on the mirrors. This is a logical no brainer, you look where traffic is not the screen, mirror, shoulder, then change lanes. It also has the benefit of letting other drivers know that they're in your blindspot. Otherwise aside from some minor build issues here and there, the car is phenomenal.

That glass can withstand 22k lb so in case the rare chance ur car flips over thanks to the heavy battery at the bottom the glass wont cave in

davidgarcia

About the glass.

It's built in a similar way bullet proof glass is made, with layers of glass.

Some that fracture to absorb the impact, and flexible layers to keep the rest held together.

Tesla's glass is so strong it broke the crushing machine designed to measure roof strength for roll overs.

And it is the world's safest car.

So safe it broke the safety star scale and got over 5 out of 5 stars.
