I bought this backpack to test out and see if it fits my needs which include:
1) Rucking: Loading capacity of up to 35-70lbs (via Necessary gear,
attachments, or Cast Iron Plates). This means it must be rugged, durable,
& comfortable.
*While this pack DID hold the load with no quality issues, the challenge
came from excessive shoulder fatigue. This is due to a lack of having a
waist belt system (details in video).

2) EDC Tactical Style (e.g., MOLLE webbing) Backpack: Water Resistant,
Organizational Capabilities, Multiple Pockets, Padded Laptop and Water
Hydration Sections, and Multiple Straps.
*Definitely has organization capabilities but i believe it can be better for
price you are paying for.

So, The Rush 24 2.0... What do you think? Did they improve their backpack game? It almost became my ideal pack but as I mentioned in the video, it just missed out on those key items I'm looking for.

I’ve had the rush 24 for 10+ years. It was my assault pack for field ops and deployment to Afghanistan, now its my primary travel bag for my wife as i got the rush 72. Great pack for the price.

I've had a Gen 1 RUSH 24 and used in the military and out and it makes a great pack for everything. This new one looks like they listened and made some good changes. I also have a couple of RUSH 12 packs which I love.

I cut off all the zipper tabs and replace them with 16” knotted para cord pull tabs (8” when connected) and those zipper flaps that snag when you open it…..those I cut at the ends of each. It leaves the protective material over the zippers but allows enough flexibility to just open quickly as you were trying to demonstrate. The zippers open MUCH EASIER which the 8” para cord leads knotted at the ends for grip. I have done it this way for my 72, 24 and 12 original rush models and now with my 12 and 24 2.0 versions in double tap. I also completely spray the pack with waterproofing spray, to help in rain and make my own flat bottom insert for the bottom of the main compartment. These mods really make this pack perform. All of my packs have lasted years with daily use and expect the same from the 2.0 as well. Great detailed review with a few mods this pack will win anyone over ( my favorite : the 24 as the 12 is too small and the 72 is amazing and huge but slouches over itself after a couple years)👍

I've got the original/first generation of RUSH 24 in black and MultiCam. The backpack is phenomenal for a 2-day trip or adventure. Fantastic review.💯

Great review. Even 5.11s website doesn't show all the features, so this was very helpful.

Very detailed review and I like about talking some cons and those additional advices about add-on strap suggestions. Thanks.

After about 15 years of hard use in all types of situations short of an actual tactical assault, after numerous repairs and stitches, my faithful Rush 24 is ready for retirement to storage and backup status. Scared for the future with the 2.0 but change is constant, gotta adapt to the new generations of this life. Thank you 5.11, what a solid dependable and useful pack.

This bag is perfect as a carry on for air travel. I have used it several times for 2-3 day get a ways and it did not disappoint. With all the organization and pockets makes things much easier especially if your not one who overpacks. It’s built like a tank and I never worry about it ripping or tearing when I place it in the overhead. I also have a second one I sometimes use for work when I’m deployed to different parts of the city. It holds my gear and I know I can throw the bag around and don’t have to worry about it.

I got this pack. It kicks ass. I love the whole line. Mine doesn't have the gun pocket and the laptop pouch is replaced with more webbed and a bungie pouch. I'd say it would meet most normal and military peoples needs for an EDC pack.

I have the Rush 24 in the original version as well as the Rush 12. I just recently purchased the Rush 72 in the 2.0 version and I’m a big fan. 5.11 makes some good packs.

I've had my Rush 12 for almost 8 years. It's fantastic. It's the perfect size for me but I do want to pick up the Rush 24 just cause I've had such a good experience with the 12

The fabric isnt as much of the problem with the dirt as the color is. I’ve got packs made of 1000D cordura and plate carriers in other colors that don’t show/retain the dirt as much, I found out a long time ago there’s two ways to keep black equipment clean. 1 don’t use it. 2 you don’t

3:00 Consider these pockets for zippered pouches, with small accessories in them. Pouches are so much better because you can move pouches between bags without having to unload a bunch of tiny items
