The Celica was generally a sporty car that a person making a modest amount of money could afford.

As a former celica and Supra owner, I would like to see it revived especially the 1985 Celica! Now that was the best--still wish I had one. But not interested in anything electric.

If this Celica is as well built as the 1977 GT model I owned then I'm a customer.

Problem is the GR’s have other type drivetrains. Supera has a BMW engine and transmission. The 86 has a Subaru engine and transmission. So the Celica GT can bridge gaps. Have an EV and also either a 1.6t or 2.5 NA Toyota developed four cyl. With a DCT wet clutch 6-7 speed and include a 6spd manual. From experience tho if you want a faster car choose the DCT in whatever speed.

If toyota make the celica electric their sport car games is over. They need to line up with gr supra and gr corolla. They need to make it awd turbo similar to the 6th gen that won wrc
