We were told EV sales went through the roof in January. What we weren't told was November and December buyers were told they wouldn't get their cars till January to register them and manipulate the sales stats.

Here in NZ they sold 3600 EV in December, but as soon as our rebate was scraped and road user charges of $76 per 1000 km starting April 1st January sales just 244! While ICE vehicles increased sales!

I'm not sure about the term " Gas Guzzler ". The Toyota I am considering as my next car gets 41 miles per gallon. And why aren't we calling electric cars " Electricity Guzzlers " ? That's what EVs do, they guzzle electricity, right, and no one says a dam thing about that. I'm sick of the one sided rhetoric. EVs are electricity guzzlers so respect the grid and drive an ice car.

If you really want an EV buy one. If it doesn't work out best of luck loading it off on someone else. If more burn your home insurance is probably going to go up. I really surprised it hasn't happened yet. Good luck

I like Toyota and Honda. Their cars last longer and are more dependable. Wry well made and fuel efficient .

EV's got a place, and that's as a 2nd car for going around town, and the price should be less than a comparable gas car due to repair cost.

Yeah so many say Toyota will be bankrupt in 10 yeara, of course in 10 years they will say the same thing, while currently Toyota makes and sells every 11 million cars they make and even then there is in some markets a 12-18 month waiting list on the most popular hybrid models!

Anyway Morizo (Akio Toyota) is retired from president of Toyota but he is still the CEO of Toyota, actually he became Chair Man CEO from President CEO.

Koji san used to be the president of Lexus then promoted to President of Toyota without CEO title. Because of Morizo is still CEO of Toyota
