Actually, many realtors dissuade some people from buying certain homes so they can hook up a friend or company that's trying to get it. Seen it firsthand. They often play games while the home is in escrow to get more money for sellers than originally agreed.

Trolls are trolls for one of 2 reasons. They are ignorant or they are A holes. Realtors work hard and selling houses is not some conspiracy to fleece buyers. Prices are based on supply and demand, its that simple. Hopefully the ignorant trolls can at least understand that last part.

You're both right and also exactly the person who would make the housing crisis happen if it didn't already exist and you could 😂😂

Let's talk facts. The fact realtors can't compete on lowering their fees is the problem. Yeah you provide a service but so does a hair dresser only difference is I can go around and shop for an expensive hair dresser or a affordable hair dresser. What you do is simple collusion.

It’s the monetary policy set bye the federal reserve and the endless money printing, high interest rates and supply of housing.

What about the immediate increase in house prices by 6% when realtors take their commissions? Who's fault is that? We keep talking about rates or demand or supply. Why not talk about the instant 6% equity you guys take right off the top? If a buyer wants to sell a house the next day after he bought it, he has to sell it for 6% higher just to break even. Every house sold then uses comps that increase every house in the same area by 6%. This is going on in every transaction across the country. Can you address this point?

Then we talk about how we are helping people. How are realtors helping housing affordability when they're responsible for an instant 6% increase in a house's price the minute it's sold???

Look in the mirror before blaming others for their greed please.

I don't deny that the realtors had nothing to do with the affordability of homes. My issue is when some of us are stuck with subpar realtors who use this as their third job. My realtor LITERALLY took a work meeting for her job based in Japan as she was showing me a house! She bragged about how this is her 3rd job. She did not do her due diligence and I ended up closing on a house with a bunch of people's stuff inside. So don't take it personally, if it's not you we're not talking about you, but some of your contemporaries are actually horrific people.

The federal reserve, government along with institutional investors are responsible of this mess.

Right On!
Lenders get the blame for affordable home but people need to look at yearly increases homeowners insurance and property taxes. Lender & Realtors get the blame, but it's not our fault.

I'll answer this: THE FEDERAL RESERVE

Whole lot of words to say I not my fault. Maybe start with that next time and offer solutions for the rest of the short.

How hard is it to realize that realtors and landlords aren't the same thing?
