I bought her origin comic for a bro of mine once as a gift he was a huge fan. I was just getting into comics back then and I didn't know about variant comics yet. Glad to see that story come full circle.

Her powers aren't similar to Reeds, it just seems so because she can stretch, but that's because she can alter her mass. She's actually drawing energy from another dimension when doing so. Kamala can make her who body big like Gi-ant man, which Reed can't do. She's not stretching her fists when she's making them big, she's increasing their mass. Reed and Plastic man don't change their mass, they simply stretch.

Also, Terrigen Mist don't just give you superpowers, it unlocks genetic mutations that were introduced by the Kree, into the human population. Humans who don't have the genetically altered Kree DNA, will not gain powers when exposed to the mist.

Just like the Celestials are responsible for the X gene in the human population.

Definitely the first time the MCU just flat out changed a main characters powers completely and I still feel like Kevin’s reasoning having to do with some MCU connection is still a dumb reason for it

I assume they are gonna change how her powers work on some level because they don't want her powers to clash with that of Mr. Fantastic when he and the rest of the F4 are introduced. Either way I'm not a fan of this but I'm pumped for the series nonetheless.

You said, "She also uses this ability to shapeshift, she can move her body any way she wants", this was true, but Ms. Marvel's power of healing factor (like Wolverine) helps when she's injured. And the more she used her healing factor the less and less she can shapeshift until she soon lost the ability to all-together.

The original miss marvel was iconic and I at least wish the new miss marvel or captain marvel had a black costume with yellow lightning bolt

Or have them use an alternate/the original costume sometimes

Her powers are different to Mr Fantastic they both stretch but she can grow and decrease in size Reed cannot do that similar yet different.

After watching The Ms. Marvel show she has become one of my favorite Marvel heroes ;-) I started reading the comics and I'm really enjoying it so far.

She's great, and her comics are even greater. She's the main reason I bought the Avengers game, which says a lot. But the new show... I'm not really feeling it from what I've seen. Neither the actor or power switch are doing it for me right now, but I'm really hoping for the best here.

Obviously they changed her powers pretty significantly but other than that they adapted her origin pretty much perfectly from page to screen.

I'm not crazy about Ms Marvel even though I read the first several volumes of her run. She's likable enough, and I appreciate the representation aspect of middle eastern culture inside a growing pantheon of diverse heroes and I hope that she gets a better reception than Naomi did after its one season cancellation on the CW 😂😂😂😂!!!! But it's ALL about execution, who is she and what's her connection as a whole to the rest of the MCU??
