I got 100 percent last week. I went 70 to 100. 37 years in service.

Perfect timing. They finally called me to schedule the exam within the next few weeks. Thanks!

Best advice from someone who was diagnosed and with 50% PTSD be truthful, honest and do NOT downplay anything! That is not the day to downplay anything. Yes, you're a warrior but you're also human and need help --- take your help and tell them what's going on with you and how your life is impacted by your disabily.

Thanks for the thorough run down on what to expect. I have 70% PTSD and 20% Congestive Heart failure (CHF) for a total of 90%. I hear it's VERY hard to go from 90 to100. I know. I have tried twice. Denied. Got my exam tomorrow for my 3rd try. Since I am a viet vet, I am also old now. 79 years old. Hope they don't deny this one because this will be my last time trying just to get denied for the 3rd time. Anyway... great vid. Very good advice.

What I see is that there is a way it should be done, and a way that it actually happens. At least where I live.

I was told my story may fall on deaf ears if I don't show up unkempt, and don't shed a few tears. With some of the advice I have heard veterans receive from the VA, I'm not surprised that some people at the VA think this is a game, and everyone is a criminal.

Anyway, wish me luck! My appointment is today. I'll do my best with your advice.

As a side note, I don't know which appointment it is but they'll ask about su*cidal ideation, and then later ask if you think m*rder is wrong. They want you to contradict your su*cidal ideation claim.

Any psychologist in a normal setting knows that those 2 things are very different. But here, it's a trick question.

What if they are doing the exam via online

Kinda rushed toward the end, vague about what to expect during the exam. I guess we want to block that part out, all of us.

I had my c&p exam today and the Dr. was easy going I answered my questions straight forward and didn't talk too much. He said he agreed with me having PTSD and he was going to put in the "remarks" that I need intensive inpatient care to help me deal with my PTSD? Has anyone ever had that at their exam?

Sheesh
