I have never been in a PI case, this is all new. And it is very intimidating.
I just want to cry anticipating that my injury/ disability requires a trial, (an ordeal for sure, ) to ARGUE that I am indeed injured. And it was gross negligence that caused it.
Cancer. Diabetes. Heart disease. Etc. These conditions are not questioned. Nor how they affect your life. But TBI? Invisible. Guess I am lucky to have injuries that do show on MRI. I pray for healing. It's been 3 years. I am now 64. I want my life back. More than any $. I wish I could function well again.

I was involved in an mva in 2017, concussion, whiplash, and a multitude of other physical, mental, and cognitive issues.
MRI and XRays over the years have shown nothing...up until 4 years into my ongoing litigation where my attorney flew in some specialists. They performed a QEEG, and found signs of a concussion still present years after the mva. We then moved onto a SPECT Scan of my brain, followed up by a visit with a neurologist.
Turns out that parts of my brain are not receiving correct amounts of oxygen, onset by the trauma of the mva. More specifically my vehicle had a safety system in the headrest called an "Active Headrest" which ignites air cartridges upon rear impacts to limit the amount of whiplash one receives. The catch is this safety system also acts like a giant punch to the back of the head.
Needless to say I still am dealing with symptoms, and although the litigation is ongoing I am so thankful that my lawyers helped link me up with the specialists I needed to understand this part of my injury and to come up with a treatment plan.
I hope this comment enlightens future readers that may have something similar taking place.

I've had several concussions. I lost the use of my left hand and leg for awhile. I get crushing headaches and vertigo intermittently. Focal seizures at least 3 times a week. I get angry easily and more often. Short term memory issues.
It has been very humbling

I can't seem to remember someone's name ect.even after telling me 20 times in five min it takes me accidentally remembering for no reason of the blue something but I should have learned and process of daily life my brain doesn't process it two days later or month later it's very very frustrating in life this has been going on since I was very young got more since I've gotten older I've told doctors but they just seem to shrug me off

We are now working on my tbi that er failed to take care of due to my other injurys. I think everyone was so focused on my arm, they kind of forgot I told them I hit my head, although it is on the report. Shoot I was more worried about my dome piece more than my arm with bone protruding

I got screwed on my case 🙁 I didn't have a lot of help, and didn't even know I had a TBI until after my 2nd accident (I was not at fault) about 3 years later. I have ortho, nuero, surgeons. Pt clinic people, pyshc doctors for new ptsd and now have to take new pshyc meds because of this. Now I have a new brain doctor 👨‍⚕️.. This freakin sucks. I know for a fact I had got concussion because it lnocked me clear out when I fell and was bleeding from back of head. 😢 now all sorts of neuro stuff hapoeming after this. This is starting to become frightening for me. I dont want anymore permanent damages from this, but unfortunately there is more than just the palsey in the arm and orif and neuro exploritory surgery. Not to mention waiting on the word for a tendon transfer… God bless 🇺🇸

Yo tengo un año que me golpee la cabeza y tengo mucho vértigo mareo dolor de cabeza me tiemblan los pies no tengo fuerza en mis mano tengo asco 🤮 náuseas y tengo un año esperando que un especialista me mire y me siento mal porque en mi trabajo invento la encargada que no me golpee hay y para mi es difícil porque la única purgidicada soy yo porque aveces se me olvida lo que estoy haciendo y hace un año me golpee con un intante de hierro mi cabeza reboto en la pared y luego golpeo de nuevo en el intate de hierro y luego rebotó en el suelo y tengo todo esos síntomas y me siento enojada porque no puedo hacer nada lo que quiero me molesta la luz el ruido me enojo con mi hija me enojo con todo y siento que estoy perdiendo todo 😢
