Projector Calibration???

Have you ever calibrated a TV, or yes a Projector? No? First you need the hardware and the software and yup the knowledge to get the best out of a projector or TV. So there is a cost and the time to gain the knowledge, but at what overall cost is that? Is it better to pay someone with all the above to do it for you? Have you ever paid someone to do a calibration for ya? Or have you ever man-ed up and did it yourself to only realize that a pro should have been called? Great conversation. On my Epson 5040, I'm lucky to have found good settings online as a starting point. Tweaked them a bit. It looks pretty darn good.

I recently swapped the bulb. Wow, what a difference. I think I'm going to factor bulb swaps in to the budget on a regular basis.

Of course, eventually my next big purchase will be a laser projector
