The one piece of solar that many people forget, is the roofs and windows of buildings and parking lots to start. Solar panel placement is very versatile…shoot you could cover the land above highways with solar panels thus protecting the roads from a good percentage of precipitation.

I'm glad Elon said as much. It's been weird over the years just how many people thought it wasn't possible.

I watched the master plan event live. But found your video taught me a lot more than the live event.

Don't forget that a LOT of oil is used for things like plastics and industrial compounds rather than energy production.

Cattle and Sheep graze just great under solar panels and wind turbines so you end up with Dual use of the land with farmers making more money, while once installed the 'wild' bio-diversity takes advantage of shade and weather protection just as fish gather around anything solid in the ocean

I'll just go get the popcorn, sit back and watch to see if, and when all this will happen.

I wish I wasn't so stupid, I would love to work for this man somewhere in his empire. He is changing the world. It just amazes me. He has done more in Tech in 10 years than anyone has done in 100 years.

A big step to help the plane/boat situation is to have them switch to hydrogen. If we implemented the new SMR reactors on coast lines we could desalinize ocean water with them while also producing hydrogen and sifting rare earth metals all in one facility safely. This would boost agriculture, restore aquifers, provide massive amounts of clean water and collect rare earth minerals without all the bad attached to mining for them. If I remember correctly the salt sludge byproduct from the process can also be used to increase efficiency in extracting lithium from ore. There's so many wins if this got going.

Excellent Presentation. I wish to point out that @ 11:00 you say that moving Bunker Fuel using tankers and container ships off of their current most environmentally damaging fuel is last on the list. Hopefully, other uses can be found for this literally bottom-of- the-barrel product rich in sulfur and long chain fatty acids that is awful to burn but full of products that should be used in more beneficial ways.

That ship would be awkward to fill with oil as it was a car carrier!

Regarding efficiency, remember that energy saved in one area is always utilized in another. If we start using less energy for transportation and home use, people will use the extra money saved to buy more stuff or take more vacations. Thus making up for the saved energy by using more energy. And if demand for energy goes down in the residential space, then the industrial space will be able to reduce prices, which will result in increased sales, which again uses more energy. There is no reality where the world uses less energy, except by becoming more poor. The adoption of green energy must follow the principle that green energy production must match or exceed current production but at a lower price, otherwise it will fail.

Around 40% of US energy goes into heating and cooling buildings. Architects have developed passive solar buildings that cut that number in half. Trombe walls, Ground Source Heat Pumps, and convection currents.

Solar panels are good at generating electricity, but passive solar designs are far more efficient at heath and cooling buildings.

Big ships, Natural gas turbine. I have read of 63% efficiency in Gas turbine generator stations. A giant step forward and the technology is available now.

Explain why Musk chose to have a gas-fired power station for Boca Chica instead of solar or wind power.

If people finally use the tech I've been trying to tell and show everyone, we could make more advancements in a much shorter amount of time.😎
