I just wanted to let you all know that I have had the all clear now and am back to smears every 5 years which is bitter sweet for me as a worrier, I’m grateful to be healthy but would be happy to have stayed at yearly checks. I didn’t want to make a full video on the news as I know for some it’s not always good news, but wanted to share it with you. I just had my colposcopy &’ biopsy for my personal experience it didn’t hurt at all! A bit uncomfortable but that’s about it :)

I had my colposcopy a few weeks ago, the doctor said everything looked normal but she took some biopsies just in case… last week I had LLETZ treatment to remove the abnormal cells that she found through the biopsies… I am SO glad that my mum is a nurse and came with me for my appointment (yes, I am 32 and a complete wuss 😬) Have your smears ladies, I thought I was fine but I wasn’t. Although the colposcopy and LLETZ are thoroughly uncomfortable, it’s worth it. My doctor and the attending nurses were so helpful, distracting me and making me laugh, I hope you all have the same sort of care

thanks for mum had cervical cancer when she was 16, and since had abnormal cells a few times. it is really important that we get our smear tests done. I'm glad you are ok beautiful Xx

I just had my colposcopy and biopsy today but it was so painful for me. They said they usually get 4 samples but could only do 2 today because I was crying. Thank you for sharing. I had my colposcopy yesterday and have been so anxious since then. The results from my smear test showed it was a low grade dyskariosis, but after my colposcopy I was told that it's actually moderate to high abnormality. I'm dreading recieving the results, but at the same time I want to recieve it asap so I know what's going on. I've been having other health problems and complications, so I'm so scared of the worst case scenario happening 😭

I had my smear about 2 weeks ago and they called saying it was alittle abnormal possibly being hpv positive so there doing the colposcopy to check if it is Thursday in the early morning. im only 22. I'm so nervous! thank you for the info! I didn't know alot about it before this vid.

I have a colposcopy booked for Thursday after hvp positive and high grade severe dyskaryosis, I'm really worried because of the word "severe" I'm not too sure what that means.

I’m going for my biopsy next week and I’m so scared I couldn’t do the biopsy on the first appointment as I was crying and scared this time round I’ve made sure that the doctor has given me some diazepam to help with the nerves

Why are there so many mixed reviews about the pain of biopsy? Is it really just a pinch or something more? Is it better to be sedated?
