Wheel Swapping With James Pumphrey at Donut Media

Hangs with the Kentucky Cobra, while talking VWs, KW Suspension, Rotiforms, and Life in general.

While in LA in my static slammed Atlas Cross Sport I was able to schedule some time to hang with my friend James Pumphrey and some of the other excellent Donut Media team (Max, the editing guru!) at their new HQs.

James & I were both on the VWVortex forums back in the day, and he actually bought ‘Gum’ his Mk3 European market VW Golf, which I found and had fun with at the Wolfsburg Factory in Germany.

Curiosity got the best of us & we did some good ol wheel swapping. Which is pretty normal when you’re hanging out with a car enthusiast friend, isn’t it ?

The next day after visiting the Donut Media HQ, I was able to take the Atlas Cross Sport on a boat for an amazing shoot with Delinte Tires before making the long cross country trek back home...!

I love this little vwvortex reunion!!

It really is incredible how many personalities have come from VWVortex over the years. And always makes me smile when I stumble over ancient posts from you both.

Cool vid, and it shows how small the world of cars can be sometimes. Looking forward to the big news of 2021, stay humble and stay safe Jamie!

Awesome hangout Jamie with James 👌👊

It’s really crazy to think that at this stage in the rim size game 22inch is the new 20inch standard.

Could you give us a hint to the new project for 2021 🤷‍♂️👊

Also an early VW Vortex member. In NorCal we had our own Early Car Fourm right around the 2000 to 2003 year mark called PandaNation. It was an awesome time to chat online with the Homies 🙌

I'm a bit older than you guys, and remember Vortex in the early days. I remember running into Jamie V. (Or one of the guys) on the road one day when he had a green Mk2 Jetta TDI with a Techtonics exhaust, and he's like "we're starting this new thing online, calling it Vw Vortex."
I still had dial up at the time and I'm like, yeah we'll see how that goes.
Still have my account on Vortex, just check in every few years when I buy a new VW. Most recent purchase is a '16 Tiguan, and my wife has a '19 Atlas.

To be honest, it looks like you’ve got no tires 🙊 And its a lil bit to low imho.. but the rims are awesome my man. To finish it up, you’ve got to spray the plastic around the wheel covers and bodem of the doors in red!? 😀
