There’s been a lot of buzz lately surrounding the Earle Navy Pier with the recent visit of the USS New Jersey, but have you ever heard of the PS Alexander Hamilton? The retired passenger liner was brought to the Atlantic Highlands Marina in 1974, where it became an attraction. In 1977, it was moved to Earle for a temporary berthing. However, during a storm, it caught fire and sank shortly after. The Alexander Hamilton remains there today, with part of its wreckage still visible above the surface.
